As
Van Gaal battles his loss to Everton last week, the club side will this evening
face West Brom in another Premiership bout in its bid to cement its fourth position
in the league table as well as book its place
in the Champions League but as he said last week his team needs motivation and
aggression. The Red Devils’ Manager was quoted last after a disappointing defeat
by the 10th position and 44 points Everton with that his team lacks aggression
and motivation that would have made them win the match. By now all Man U fans
are looking forwards to a formidable team that is well motivated and aggressive
to enough for a decisive win against the visiting Baggies. The red Devils
cannot afford another lose at this crucial time in the league season.
Hope of a better home game rose for Man U as its captain, Wayne Rooney rumoured
to have sustained another knee injury has been declared fit for the match. Rooney’s
fitness is a plus for the Red Devils but the likes of Michael Carrick, Jonny
Evans and Luke Shaw were ruled out of today’s match due calf injury, groin
injury and sciatic nerve problem. In recent matches, the team has missed the
protection Michael Carrick provided and until his calf injury heals United will
have to look for alternative way of defending its goalpost.
Until Carrick was
injured United lost one match out of the 17 matches he played this season. Wayne
Rooney’s fitness is cheering news for United as this will boost the morale of
the team. Man U’s match has improved since team captain Rooney moved from being
a midfielder to centre-forward in February.
On the visit side, West Brom is encouraged by
the spectacular performances its underdog peers such as Leicester City, Aston
Villa and QPR among others lately and the visiting team will want to do it best
in Old Trafford but beating Man U will be herculean but not impossible. West Brom boss, Tony
Pulis however has several injury concerns for today’s match but the return of
his midfielder, Youssouf Mulumbu from a ban will help the team’s campaign in
Old Trafford. Andre Wisdom on loan
from Liverpool will also play against Man U in today’s match.

Pulis decision to sign Darren Fletcher and made him the captain of the
team when he became the club’s manager was hailed by sport commentators. Fletcher
will be returning to Old Trafford, the club he won four league titles with and
a Champions League as a foe the is afternoon. |
