Former South Africa striker and international Benni
McCarthy was reportedly robbed at a barber shop in Johannesburg yesterday
Wednesday, May 6th, 2015.
According to his agent Percy Adams, 37years old McCarthy was dispossessed of
his jewellery by armed men. One of the men pointed a gun at McCarthy's face and
demanded his watch, earrings and wedding ring.
McCarthy was not hurt and other customers were
not targeted. Adams told South Africa Eyewitness News.
Among McCarthy’s achievement were, 2004 Champions League trophy with Porto, played
in Spain and Portugal as well as England. He had about 5years contract with
Blackburn from 2006-2010, West Ham between 2010-2011 and was South Africa's
record goal-scorer with 32 goals.
