Saturday,
April 18, 2015 outing for Liverpool was a big setback to another title dream as
the Reds were beaten 2-1 by Aston Villa at the Wembley Stadium (the English
National Stadium).
Thirty
(30) minutes into the match Countinho shook Villa’s net but Benteke gave Villa
an equalizer six (6) minutes later. The 54minutes goal from Delph sealed the FA
Cup title hope of Liverpool as the Reds were not able erase the goal deficit till
the final whistle was blown and Villa booked its place in the FA final
Scheduled for May 30, 2015.
In
another FA Cup title qualifying bout, Arsenal beat Readings 2 – 1 to clinch the
FA Cup final battle ticket. Thirty-nine minutes into the match Sanchez opened
the goal box for Arsenal but the Readings renewed their FA Cup title dream with
a 54 minutes redeemer from McCleary.
The
match dragged on without any goals from the two feuding sides until extra time of
106 minutes when Sanchez again put a goal through for Arsenal to book a place for
it in the FA final match.
