For three years in a row, Real
Madrid has been ranked the most valuable team in the world by Forbes
Magazine, in its yearly ranking of top 20 football teams according
to their asset values and revenues.
According to Forbes’ annual ranking
the Spanish club worth $3.26bn and had the highest revenue among all the sports
team in the world put at $746m.
Barcelona followed with $3.16bn while
Manchester United comes third with $3.10bn. Bayern Munich is fourth with Manchester City fifth,
Chelsea sixth, Arsenal seventh, Liverpool eighth, Juventus ninth and AC Milan tenth
in the world.
Sponsorship revenue and rising television
right rakes in pushed the average net worth of the top 20 clubs to $1.16bn, a
growth of about 84% from five years ago. Among this team, according to Forbes, United has the biggest revenue in the Premier
Leagues and second biggest revenue amounting to $703m in the world. Below is
