WBC Belt |
The
build up to the lifting of $1million WBC belt encrusted with more than three (3)
thousand miniature emeralds necessitating traveling with its own security details
has been marked by disagreements, contract signing and promo events.
Probably
due to speculative and margin trading activities, all tickets (about 14,000) were
reportedly sold-out seconds after they were made available on Thursday, April
23rd, 2015. Before now, disagreements between the two camps led to
the delay in the sales of tickets, in terms of contract modification, for a
title clash contract that has been announce February this.
Manny Pacquiao |
Bob
Arum, the boss of Top Ranking Promotion and promoter of Pacquiao said he had to
fight tooth and nail to get a fair deal for Manny Pacquiao while the Floyd
Mayweather camp appear to be getting a robust deal out of the scheduled WBC bout.
This perceived inequality spurned disagreements and new round of talks and negotiations
over the contract of the title bout that has been viewed as the most significant
in the history of the sport.
As
the whole world awaits the outcome of the fight between the two famous boxers on
Saturday, May 2nd, 2015 many analysts and keen watchers of the sport
will continue to analyse and voice out the likely direction the title fight may
take but a winner is sure to emerge May 2nd and until that happens let
the talks and forecasts continue.
