IndyCar race accident killed Justin Wilson

The death of the ace British race car celebrity, Justin Boyd Wilson has been announced by his family and mourned by his teammates. Wilson died at an Allentown hospital, Pennsylvania, United States on Monday.

Justin Wilson was involved in a fatal car race accident during on Sunday. His death came from the severe head injury he sustained when the nose of another car in the race hit his head on Sunday and was immediately taken to the hospital where he remained hospitalized until his demise on Monday evening.

Reacting to the news of Justin Wilson’s death, a fellow team mate, Ed Carpenter said during a press briefing that: The team will miss Justin Wilson who was described as a team player and passionate athlete. As a mark of honour to the falling race car star and celebrity for what he loved and passionately pursued when he was alive, he stated further that the team will resume the race.

Justin Boyd Wilson was a professional, open-wheel driver who just before his death was competing part-time in the IndyCar Series, driving the No. 25 Honda for Andretti Autosport in Pocono on Sunday before the fatal injury to his head.

Aged 37, Justin Wilson was born July 31, 1978 in Sheffield, United Kingdom. He left behind a loving wife and two daughters.
