Amid
speculations of lack of progress in the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition
government negotiation yesterday he announced his party’s alliance with Naftali
Bennett, the leader of Jewish Home after a prolonged negotiations on Friday.

The
breakthrough came just some hours to the constitutional midnight deadline for
the formation of government by the party with most seats in the Israeli legislative
elections - the Knesset.
If
Netanyahu had failed to reach a deal with Jewish Home, Isaac Herzog, the leader
of centre-left party, Zion Union that won 24 seats at the March 17 election
against Netanyahu Lekwud Party’s 30 seats would have form the coalition government.
