James Blake was yesterday manhandled by an overzealous police officer who is
known for aggressive action against perceived criminals.
At a community place on Friday, James Blake was rushed on by New York Police Department ( NYPD) officer James Fraascatore who knocked him down and pin to the ground
before handcuffing him.

Blake was embarrassed and dumbfounded as
he could not fathom what was happening until he was charged with identity
theft.
But, on further interrogation it became
down on Fraascatore that he had made the a wrong arrest and James Blake was
subsequently released.
Blake did not take the matter lightly, he
posted his experience and others responded posing their issues with NYPD. The social
media has since gone viral with the video clips of the incident.

The police initially defended Fraascatore disgusting
conduct saying the officer has done nothing wrong, claiming that Blake resembled
a criminal the police has been looking for on charges of credit card fraud. But
the negative social capital the incident generated made police changed its
position and offer its remorsefulness over the lackluster behaviour of the police
officer, Fraascatore.
As a result of that act James Blake seems
to have become a social rights activist, as he said that singular event had revealed
to him what daily assault vulnerable citizens were going through in the New
York City.

However, New York City Mayor, Bill de
Blasio has addressed a press conference on the issue apoligising to Blake and the entire people of
New York City on behalf of the police.
