The embattled and former FIFA Vice President, Jack Warner
has been banned for life from holding any position in football related sports. The banned is an outcome of corruption allegations which
have been leveled against high ranking FIFA executive members and led to arrest
of many of them in Switzerland as well as resignation of its President, Sepp
Blatter earlier in the year.
But, lately Blatter who announced his resignation from the FIFA presidency less two weeks after winning another four year-term said he would not step down again as he has not been accused of any wrong doing.
Jack Warner ban was as a result of what it has been described
by the investigating committee as his financial impropriety. Warner, 72, a citizen
of Trinidad and Tobago like every other past and present FIFA top guns is battling
against his extradition to the United States to answer corruption allegations
leveled against him the US authorities.
