Chelsea Technical handler Jose Mourinho has warned
Chelsea fans around the world not to expect early victory in this afternoon match
between his club and the visiting team, Crystal Palace. Chelsea is going into a
crucial match with visiting team and wining the clash at the Stamford Bridge this
afternoon will crown Chelsea as the Premier Leagues Champions.
As expected, Chelsea fans and sport analysts are
predicting easy win over Crystal Palace but Mourinho has counseled his fans to be
patience and not to expect a quick fixing of the visiting team as they too will
fight to improve their lot on the league table.
Already, Diego Costa is ruled out of today’s encounter no
thanks to hamstring injury but hopes of better outing increased with the returns of Chelsea forward
Loic Remy as well as Chelsea goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois after a while nursing
minor hip injury.
Three points is Chelsea need to win its fourth Premier
League title, and first since Mourinho returned to the club in 2010 . The Blues
are set for a win this afternoon as the probability of losing this match
against Crystal Palace is slim. Since the begin of the season Chelsea had only lost
three out of the fifty (5)0 matches played and definitely this will not make
four.
The visitors from Selhurt Park are not completely
underdogs. Palace players will be emboldened by league season record of having
lost only one out of its last eight away matches. The morale of Palace players
towards impressive performance at Stamford Bridge would be further boosted by
current away from Selhurst Park performances that has seen them winning six (6)
matches out of seven since Alan Pardew became the club’s manager. If they win
this afternoon encounter, it will be their first win against Chelsea in more 30years.
Pardew has own worries to battle too but the probability of better play at
Stamford Bridge is heightened by the fitness of defender Joel Ward for this
match who was down with a shin injury. But the duo of Marouane Chamakh and Fraizer
Campbell would remain on the bench and would be missing in action.
Whatever concern Mourinho has,
whatever he says about the Stamford Bridge encounter with Crystal Palace, his
club and its fan are poised already towards celebrating another Premier League title
after a long trophy drought spell and Crystal Palace will not stop them from
lifting the trophy this afternoon.
