The grim and sobber scenes in the White House during and after the September 11 attack

We bring to you below, courtesy, U.S. National Archives moment of sorrow, confusion, anxiety and uncertainties in the White House during the senseless attacks of American World Trade Centre, September 11, 2001.

 The photographs released recently in batches thanks to the Freedom of Information Act request filed by Colette Neirouz Hanna, coordinating producer for the Kirk Documentary Group that documented the Bush administration  
The terrorist-attack that led to thousands of people been killed or maimed, was a moment of grieve as well as confusion as revealed by the exclusive photo shoots from Vice President Dick Cheney’s staff photographer and others.
The shock and horror in the faces of President George Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney, their wives Laura and Lynne, National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice, CIA Director George Tenet and other senior Bush and Cheney staffers reflected what played out during the terrible monent in the histrory of United States of America. 
Leadership safety was the major concern and many White House officials took cover in the bunkers under the White House. Dick Cheney and his wife, Lynne later left the White House for Camp David that night.
